Job summary

Voodoo is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Engineering & Data team. You will design scalable, high-availability infrastructure used by millions, automate deployments, and drive security and cost controls across multi-account AWS environments.

You will leverage AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and guide engineering teams in best practices for cloud technology adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux experience with scripting, networks, storage, and release.
• 3+ years building and maintaining CI environments and AWS.
• 3+ years working with Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and immutability principles including Terraform.
• Experience with high traffic, distributed systems architectures and related tools.
• Experience designing and managing AWS Landing Zone architectures (multi-account strategy, org-level guardrails, centralized networking/logging/security).
• Experience in any scripting language (Python, Bash).
• Practical experience incorporating AI-assisted coding tools or agentic frameworks into production software development workflows.
• Ability to adapt to multiple stakeholders and collaborate across teams.

Role

We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer interested in creating something bigger to join our Engineering & Data team! In this role, you’ll be working on highly scalable solutions, used by millions of people and will solve complex problems including challenges like scalability, high availability, performance, optimization & automation. You will use best-in-class services and technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows, and will contribute to improving the technical stack.

• Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the services environments

• Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability and security

• Develop security capabilities and encourage adoption of security best practices and architecture changes throughout the company via evangelism and education

• Take ownership of automating infrastructure deployment and configuration, lead the creation of CI/CD pipelines for applications, and develop CI/CD best practices across the team

• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code or similar harnesses) to accelerate infrastructure development, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and raise the team's overall velocity

• Design, deploy, and scale autonomous or semi-autonomous agents to handle infrastructure operations, incident response, and internal tooling workflows

• Perform development, automation, and deployment assignments without close supervision

• Provide application development and cloud technology leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members, including best practices for integrating AI tools into engineering workflows

• Control costs and be able to propose and implement new solutions in coordination with dev teams

Profile (Must Have)

• 5+ years of Linux experience including experience with scripting, networks, storage, and release

• 3+ years building and maintaining continuous integration environments and working with AWS

• 3+ years working with Kubernetes

• Strong understanding of the infrastructure as code and immutability principles including Terraform

• Experience with high traffic, distributed systems architectures, and related tools (service discovery, config/secret management, etc.)

• Experience designing and managing AWS Landing Zone architectures (multi-account strategy, org-level guardrails, centralized networking/logging/security)

• Experience in any scripting language (python, bash, …)

• Practical experience incorporating AI-assisted coding tools or agentic frameworks (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions) into production software development workflows

• Ability to adapt to multiple stakeholders and demonstrate strong cross-teams cooperation

Profile (Nice to Have)

• Supporting data pipeline orchestration (ETL, Spark, Airflow)

• Running a distributed message broker at scale (Kafka, NATS)

• Running GPU workloads on Kubernetes

• Supporting ML workloads

• Hands‑on expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining agentic systems in production environments (including multi‑agent orchestration, tool integration frameworks, and comprehensive agent observability and monitoring)

• Experience in golang is a plus
