Job summary

CACI International Inc. in Sterling, VA seeks a Senior Infrastructure/System Administrator to design and maintain cloud and hybrid environments for our software development lifecycle.

You will bridge operations and development, ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS and on-prem data centers to support code build, test, and deployment. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of IT system administration, and strong skills in Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, and automation.

Qualifications

• Required: Active TS/SCI security clearance (Willing and able to obtain a polygraph)
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years as an IT system administrator, or related experience.
• Technical understanding of Cloud Infrastructure with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, SSM) and Hybrid Networking (Direct Connect, VPNs)
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• CI/CD Platform Support with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
• OS & Scripting with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server; Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Demonstrated Linux system administration
• Scripting in Python or similar languages
• Familiarity with Containerization & Orchestration (Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Ansible)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Preferred)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)

Responsibilities

• Support design, security and maintenance across cloud and hybrid environments
• Bridge between system operations and development teams across AWS and on-prem data centers
• Manage highly available, scalable, automated environments for CI/CD and development
• Perform systems design, development, and integration across the system life cycle
• Implement complex infrastructure with installation, configuration, testing and maintenance
• Conduct modeling, simulation and analysis to optimize performance
• Maintain robust security measures including backups and redundancy
• Prepare documentation for processes and procedures
