Job summary

MMD Services Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Architect to define and own the organization’s infrastructure direction at scale in a hybrid Chicago setting.

You will craft repeatable Terraform-based infra, operate production Kubernetes, and lead secure CI/CD pipelines spanning thousands of endpoints. You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive security architecture, and shape the next generation of the network and identity strategies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud architecture.
• Enterprise-scale experience across hundreds of locations and thousands of users.
• Owns architecture beyond cloud; across networking, identity, and security.
• Deep AWS experience; Azure exposure is a plus.
• Strong Terraform, including module design and state management at scale.
• Production Kubernetes at the platform/operator level.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with security integrated.
• Proven track record with large-scale infrastructure changes with minimal disruption.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust and broader infra security.
• Balanced big-picture and hands-on implementation; able to converse with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the AWS environment across compute, networking, storage, and container platforms; set standards for the org.
• Build repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure in Terraform, replacing manual setups.
• Design and operate production Kubernetes, including cluster networking, scaling, and workload isolation.
• Build and secure CI/CD pipelines moving infra and app deployments to production.
• Lead planning for the next generation of the network.
• Standardize identity across the organization.
• Develop observability and modern virtual desktop strategies.
• Make security, observability, and cost tradeoffs with authority.
• Address cross-cutting problems spanning networking, compute, identity, deployment.
• Present recommendations to leadership and tailor messages to audiences.
