Job summary

Asure Software in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Engineer with 5+ years of AWS serverless experience, strong TypeScript skills, and a deep understanding of OAuth/OIDC identity flows to design, build, and scale secure, cloud-native applications.

You will own projects end‑to‑end, mentor junior engineers, review code, and collaborate across teams, while integrating AI capabilities and upholding cloud security, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) or equivalent experience with another major cloud provider.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO, SCIM and modern identity authentication flows.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CDK & Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and related services (or equivalent on other cloud providers).
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient TypeScript code for backend and integration services.
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM and related identity standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Work independently and take ownership of projects, driving them from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Integrate and leverage AI technologies where appropriate to enhance product capabilities and development.
• Ensure best practices in cloud security, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
