Job summary

SHR is seeking a Cloud Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead cloud initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will guide architecture, security, and IaC practices, mentor teams, and shape cloud strategy to support rapid growth.

The role emphasizes FedRAMP High, FISMA, NIST 800-53 compliance and continuous improvement within a DevOps culture. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
• Expertise in cloud architecture, security, and compliance for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Advanced IaC practices using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Ansible, and Python, ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient management of cloud resources.
• Lead technical discussions with Cloud Service Providers to influence product roadmaps and establish cloud best practices.
• Provide expert-level design and optimization of cloud infrastructure meeting scalability, performance, and security needs.
• Spearhead creation and management of custom OS and application images aligned with standards and performance criteria.
• Drive automation of system and application configurations to streamline deployments and improve efficiency.
• Lead security and compliance audits (FedRAMP High, FISMA, NIST 800-53, DHS 4300A) and mitigate risks.
