Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure, driving automation with Terraform, Python and Bash. You will mentor engineers, optimize cost and performance, and collaborate with DevOps and security teams to deliver scalable cloud-native solutions.

The role requires Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions expertise, plus strong security governance. Remote-friendly, full-time position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with expertise in Azure, including compute, storage, Key Vault, Monitor, and networking.
• Terraform modules, state, and IaC pipelines at scale.
• Python scripting for automation and integrations.
• Bash/Linux administration, automation, orchestration.
• Jenkins pipelines and Groovy scripting; GitHub Actions experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization, orchestration, and deployment.
• Azure IAM, RBAC, and cloud security principles.
• Git with CI/CD tooling and Agile/Scrum involvement.
• Willingness to travel to SHI, Partners, and Customer Events.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure focusing on automation and cost optimization.
• Architect reusable IaC modules and Terraform frameworks.
• Develop advanced automation in Python and Bash for provisioning and config tasks.
• Create and maintain Linux shell scripts for orchestration and automation workflows.
• Administer and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Build and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments for production deployments.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with software/DevOps teams to translate requirements into secure cloud architectures.
• Establish cloud security governance, standards, and compliance.
• Document architectures, workflows, and technical standards.
