Job summary

Bespoketechnologies in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and secure mission-critical cloud solutions. The role requires operating in AWS environments with strong automation using Python/Java/JavaScript, and to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

You will identify risks, perform trade studies, ensure compliance, and maintain cloud solutions per SLA while following sponsor frameworks and agile practices. On-site only with Poly clearance required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years with BS/BA including at least 2 years Sponsor experience.
• Minimum 6 years with MS/MA including at least 2 years Sponsor experience.
• Minimum 3 years with PhD including at least 2 years Sponsor experience; 4 extra years may substitute for degree.
• Demonstrated experience managing AWS services including C2S, S3, EC2, Load balancers, ECR, subnets, autoscaling groups and users/groups, Lambda, MSK, SageMaker, Docker, Kafka, KMS.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical, CI, and operational risks, vulnerabilities, and single points of failure, and mitigate.
• Study capability feasibility and vulnerability, gap analyses, and evaluate new tech.
• Analyze compliance with requirements; integrate, test, verify, and validate end-to-end systems.
• Create system engineering diagrams, flow charts, and documentation to facilitate cross‑org collaboration.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions; apply an agile approach to development.
• Maintain cloud solutions according to SLA or requirements.
