Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support mission-critical national security programs. The successful candidate will design, implement, secure, and maintain AWS cloud environments while ensuring compliance with government security requirements and operational standards.

Required Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Active Polygraph (Full Scope or CI Polygraph, as required)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement secure and scalable cloud architectures.
• Configure and manage VPCs, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, Route 53, ECS/EKS, and related AWS services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Perform cloud migrations and modernization efforts.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST, RMF, and federal requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity personnel, and system administrators.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• 3+ years supporting AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and security groups.
• Experience supporting classified environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
• AWS Security Specialty certification.
• Experience with GovCloud and IC cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
