Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a Senior Engineer to advance cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and IaC practices. You will design and develop solutions across AWS, AEM Cloud Service, and Jenkins-based pipelines, ensuring site stability, scalability, and resilience.

The role emphasizes Terraform across AWS, production support, and collaboration with data and engineering teams. Hybrid in-office schedule supported by Thrivent’s cutting-edge cloud environment and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 7+ years engineering experience.
• 5+ years cloud engineering/DevOps.
• Strong AWS administration.
• Strong Terraform and IaC experience.
• Experience with Jenkins/CI/CD automation.
• Knowledge of DNS/IAM/WAF and networking.
• SDLC and Git workflows knowledge.
• Experience with monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Scripting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud solutions using AWS and AEM Cloud Service.
• Manage AWS services: S3, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, EC2, VPCs.
• Lead Terraform implementation across AWS.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and automation.
• Provide production support and incident response.
• Collaborate with data and engineering teams.
• Define engineering standards and patterns.
• Support vendor evaluation and PoC activities.
