Overview

GovCIO has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer/Architect at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position will support the U.S. Army C5ISR Center, which aims to enhance military capabilities through innovative science and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to develop technologies used by the U.S. Army across various platforms. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure
• Monitor cloud resources for performance and cost optimization
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues
• Develop, implement, and maintain configurations of cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Administer AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and related infrastructure
• Create deployment scripts for robust, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure
• Analyze security threats and implement security measures
• Resolve technical and user issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud solutions
• Ensure compliance with security policies
• Support cloud platform development and operation
• Utilize DevOps methodologies and participate in agile teams
• Develop deployment scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.

Qualifications

High School diploma with 6-9 years of experience or equivalent. Secret clearance required (interim acceptable).
