Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer for its Chicago, IL team. You will design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure, while mentoring junior engineers and guiding DevOps practices across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has deep AWS expertise, hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and a strong background in IaaS/PaaS, scripting, and cloud frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Hands-on scripting and programming experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud frameworks and chaos engineering.
• Understanding of RPO/RTO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
