Job summary

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical cloud infrastructure in a classified AWS environment.

The role requires a Top SECRET clearance and combines remote work (3 days) with onsite presence (2 days) to sustain secure, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include designing IaC with Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining Linux systems within DoD/IC security standards. This is a challenging, onsite-heavy role in Winchester, VA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with cloud DevOps and AWS environments.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform and Linux administration.
• Familiarity with DoD/IC security frameworks (NIST/RMF/FedRAMP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using AWS and Terraform (IaC).
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CodePipeline.
• Administer Linux-based systems ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for provisioning and monitoring.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of mission-critical cloud infrastructure in a classified AWS environment. This is a fully onsite role in Winchester, VA, supporting national security and defense programs that demand strict adherence to security and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in AWS cloud services, Terraform infrastructure as code, Linux system administration, and Agile/Scrum practices, with a proven track record in building scalable, secure, and automated DevSecOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services and Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Administer and optimize Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell for provisioning and monitoring.
• Configure and manage networking, VPCs, IAM roles, security groups, and encryption policies in AWS environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevSecOps practices, improving release cycles and reliability.
