Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud data platforms in AWS and GCP. You will build secure data ingestion and processing pipelines, automate tasks, and maintain CI/CD for data apps, collaborating with data teams and security groups.

The role requires hands-on automation, cloud security expertise, and strong Linux/networking skills, with hybrid work near Coppell, TX. On-site 3 days weekly and regular collaboration days are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on automation and debugging of cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong cloud security practices for data at-rest and in-flight.
• Experience with Linux/Unix, networking, and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
• Incorporate security, fault-tolerance, and performance into data platforms.
• Develop cloud data ingestion and processing frameworks.
• Automate routine tasks to boost efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data apps.
• Optimize pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and processing issues.
• Collaborate with data engineering/science teams and business users.
• Align with security teams to ensure secure data in transit and at rest.
