Job summary

SMBC is seeking a Cloud Data Solutions Lead to oversee enterprise data assets and cloud-based solutions using Azure and Databricks. The role involves driving delivery for risk, regulatory, finance and compliance initiatives, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with product managers, architects and security to design scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality, accessibility and governance across the bank’s analytics workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development in enterprise applications.
• Preferably in the financial services industry and on data-heavy systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage enterprise data assets and cloud-based data solutions.
• Lead design and deployment of Azure/Databricks data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance and compliance projects.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with IT, business stakeholders and external partners.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and security to ensure scalable, secure data platforms.
• Own end-to-end projects from requirements to production deployments and feedback loops.
