Job summary

Exiger is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, build, and optimize cloud data platforms, ensuring secure, performant, and resilient operations. You will work within CI/CD pipelines, supporting new product features, data initiatives, and ongoing operational excellence.

You will lead cloud-native architecture, drive cost-aware improvements, and collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams to promote DevOps and IaC practices while mentoring engineers and DBAs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cloud database administration experience.
• Expertise in cloud-based design, cost and efficiency planning.
• Experience with HA, replication, backup, and DR in the cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS with uptime/compliance.
• Background in data-intensive SaaS or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve cloud-native data platforms for production and analytics.
• Migrate toward open storage-centric designs to reduce cost.
• Own performance optimization across data workloads.
• Lead modern data architecture beyond traditional databases.
• Design and own high availability, disaster recovery, multi-region strategies.
• Apply FinOps to analyze and optimize cloud data spend.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, security.
• Promote DevOps and platform best practices (IaC, automation, self-service).
• Define standards for scalable, reliable data storage and access.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance across databases and lakehouse.
• Mentor engineers and DBAs on modern cloud data architecture.
