Job summary

InterImage is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will contribute to backend processing, indexing, and IR, with expertise in Kubernetes, MongoDB, and cloud-based distributed computing.

The role requires extensive experience across cloud environments, distributed frameworks, and large-scale deployments, with a focus on scalable Java services and robust design.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Four years in Big-Data cloud technologies and/or distributed computing.
• Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or substitutions acceptable as described.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data cloud systems.
• Contribute to backend processing, analysis, and indexing.
• Review tests, resolve issues, and document results.
• Design system components with hardware/software trade-offs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Master's degree substitution for two years experience

Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer certification substitution for one year cloud experience
