Senior Cloud Data EngineerWe are hiring an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer to support a large-scale data modernization initiative for our client in the Quincy, MA, area. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing modern cloud-based data platforms and migrating legacy data applications and databases to a scalable enterprise data environment.This is a hybrid position in the Quincy, MA, area. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location.Please note: No C2C, Subcontracting or Visa Sponsorship of any kind is available for this position.The ideal candidate is an expert in designing and implementing data pipelines across both centralized and decentralized data architectures. You should be comfortable evaluating different data ingestion patterns based on business needs and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.This position will play a key role in cloud data platform design, development, data governance, and the establishment of best practices supporting enterprise-wide data modernization efforts.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop cloud-based data management and engineering solutions.Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines.Implement data pipelines across centralized and decentralized data architectures.Develop and support cloud data platforms using technologies including AWS and Snowflake.Ensure data solutions align with established security policies, standards, and data privacy requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect highly scalable, highly available, and high-performing cloud data solutions.Evaluate and recommend cloud products and services to improve data ingestion, curation, storage, processing, and analytics.Monitor cloud data platform performance and identify opportunities for optimization.Implement and support data management, governance, and quality processes.Analyze and document cloud data engineering strategies, architectures, and technical designs.Establish processes for ongoing system performance assessments and improvement plans.Develop complex data integration solutions using Informatica IICS, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.Provide technical direction for the design and development of data layers and ETL solutions.Lead technical design sessions and facilitate decisions across project teams.Review ETL and data integration requirements and ensure solutions meet business and technical needs.Establish and document best practices, standards, and processes related to cloud data engineering and modernization.Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project requirements and stakeholder expectations.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in data pipeline design and development, cloud data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, enterprise information systems, or systems engineering.Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse and data architecture solutions.Experience with decentralized data architectures, including concepts such as Data Mesh.3–5 years of experience developing cloud-based data solutions using AWS.5+ years of experience working with cloud database platforms, including Snowflake.Experience designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.Strong experience with data integration using Informatica IICS, SQL, and Python.3–5 years of experience with Informatica IICS, GitHub and CI/CD processes, and Airflow or similar orchestration tools.Experience working with large-scale, multi-terabyte enterprise data platforms in a cloud environment.Proficiency with Unix, Linux, and shell scripting.Understanding of system administration, database administration, storage architecture, backup and recovery, and networking concepts.Strong understanding of data security, governance, and privacy best practices.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain and propose technical solutions to technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.Ability to lead technical design discussions and drive decisions across cross-functional teams.Experience working with highly sensitive data and familiarity with HIPAA and other applicable data privacy and security controls.Preferred QualificationsAWS Certification and/or Cloud Data Engineer Certification.Snowflake Certification.Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI.Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data modernization or cloud migration initiatives.Experience working in highly regulated environments.Pay: $75 - $82 / hour W2 depending on experience#INDIT
