Peraton is a leading mission-focused company seeking a Senior Cloud Data Architect SME with Databricks and Delta Lake expertise to pioneer the data engineering foundation for a federal migration program. You will design ETL pipelines, harmonize schemas, and implement data quality frameworks within a FedRAMP-compliant hybrid AWS cloud environment.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Extensive cloud data architecture experience with Databricks and Delta Lake/Delta Live Tables.
Experience designing data lakehouse architectures for large-scale data migrations and ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of the cloud data lakehouse architecture for federal data ingestion.
Define Delta Live Tables ETL pipeline topology, data flow patterns and error handling.
Lead schema harmonization and produce field-level mapping documentation.
Define metadata standards including naming conventions, data types, null handling, and sources.
Design the Metadata and Authoritative Source Registry structure and population method.
Oversee ETL pipeline development with version control and peer reviews.
Develop data quality validation frameworks within ETL pipelines.
Produce the Data Model Harmonization Report for government review and approval.
Document operational handoffs for routine data refresh, monitoring, and maintenance.
