Job summary

Akamai's Cloud Technology Group seeks a Senior Architect - Cloud Compute to lead architecture and design for our SDLC and automation across global development teams. You will partner with engineering to build scalable, reliable software delivery processes and shape long-term platform strategies.

Responsibilities include refining system-wide SDLC workflows, guiding deployment practices, and defining metrics to monitor compliance and performance across cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Experience leading the architectural design of SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and software-defined automation.
• Familiar with Kubernetes, cloud-native container ecosystems, hypervisors, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical gaps across global teams and drive consensus with stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating large-scale software patching, deployment operations, and system compliance standards.
• Understanding evaluation frameworks for assessing SDLC maturity and platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Creating and refining system-wide SDLC processes to improve scalability and deployment visibility.
• Coordinating the design of integration points to enable comprehensive views of software versioning and deployment operations.
• Providing technical guidance on design patterns and aligning stakeholders on long-term platform strategies.
• Architecting solutions for shared SDLC workflows and conducting system reviews across Compute and related cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluating and developing frameworks to perform due diligence on the SDLC maturity and infrastructure of potential acquisition targets.
• Identifying tools and defining metrics to ensure monitoring, patching, and regulatory compliance standards.
