Expert Select GmbH seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to lead cloud architecture, migration and governance across enterprise platforms. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure cloud designs and drive modernization with cross-functional teams including IT security and operations.

The role emphasizes architectural ownership, decision-making and governance in a large, retail-oriented IT landscape, with opportunities for long-term collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Cloud Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer with architecture responsibility.
• Experience designing, building or migrating productive cloud platforms in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) and security-by-design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient, highly available cloud architectures for business-critical systems.
• Plan and support cloud migration initiatives to modern platforms.
• Evaluate current application, infrastructure and integration landscapes.
• Define technical target architectures, standards and reusable patterns.
• Translate business and IT requirements into structured cloud concepts with governance.
• Collaborate with development, operations, IT security and management stakeholders.
• Document decisions, dependencies, risk assessments and implementation paths.
• Act as senior technical advisor for cloud-related decisions.
