Job summary

EAG is seeking a Principal Architect in Houston to lead architecture across Azure, Microsoft 365, and security for upstream Oil & Gas clients. You will own discovery, design, and migration work, including due diligence for M&A, and provide PM/QA oversight for the architectural team.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years IT experience with 5+ years in senior roles, executive presence, and strong communication skills to engage CIOs and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in a senior/principal architect role.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft cloud stack: Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, endpoint, and security for enterprise and SMB spaces.
• Own technical discovery, current-state assessments, and target-state design for upstream Oil & Gas clients and other verticals.
• Author and own client-facing architecture deliverables: SOW sections, HLD/LLD, runbooks, roadmaps.
• Escalation point for ITO delivery team on client issues and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Represent EAG in client meetings and executive technical conversations.
• Mentor Architects and senior engineers to develop next-tier talent.
