Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled cloud engineer to plan, design, and develop cloud-based applications on AWS. You will manage secure cloud environments, deploy initiatives, and work with Linux configurations to create scalable, resilient systems.

Preferred candidates have TS/SCI with polygraph and a strong background in Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, and cloud security practices. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with relevant polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience, or master's degree + 6 years of experience, or PhD + 3 years of experience.
• 4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on AWS experience (SNS/SQS, EC2, S3, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and develop cloud-based applications (AWS).
• Manage cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines.
• Deploy and debug cloud initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems following best practices.
• Configure and monitor Linux installations and AWS resources.
