Job summary

ByteDance seeks a Senior Cloud Acceleration Engineer to advance DPU and AI infrastructure in Seattle/Bellevue. You’ll design high-performance DPU network software and collaborate with hardware teams to enable fast, reliable distributed training and inference.

The role covers OS/kernel to runtime optimization, architecture design input, and mentoring of peers. Regular full-time, with a strong focus on low latency and scalable systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
• Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Writing testable, maintainable, and low latency software using high level programming languages, including Golang, Java, Python, or C++; Working with computing systems utilizing GPU or ASIC for machine learning applications; Programming in a Linux environment using C/C++, CUDA, or Python; Maintaining and debugging software services; and Analyzing error logs to identify issues and working with service owners to resolve issues, document their origins, and develop future prevention mechanisms.

Domestic travel required up to 10%.

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $207480 - $368220 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
