Job summary

ByteDance seeks a Senior Cloud Acceleration Engineer to advance DPU and AI infrastructure in Seattle/Bellevue. You’ll design high-performance DPU network software and collaborate with hardware teams to enable fast, reliable distributed training and inference.

The role covers OS/kernel to runtime optimization, architecture design input, and mentoring of peers. Regular full-time, with a strong focus on low latency and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree or equivalent or a Bachelor’s with 5+ years of related work.
• 2+ years in: high performance software, GPU/ASIC ML, Linux C/C++, Python, and debugging services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop DPU network software with high performance and low latency.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on software-hardware co-design for networking/storage acceleration.
• Explore AI/ML infrastructure acceleration using DPUs/GPUs and custom hardware.
• Drive end-to-end performance optimization from OS to user-space runtimes.
• Contribute to architecture design, proposals, and long-term research directions.
• Mentor junior team members.
