KeyBank is seeking a Lead Closing Officer to provide expert closing support for a national team handling complex commercial real estate loans within KBREC. You will oversee pre/post-closing activities, coordinate with clients, attorneys and third parties, and ensure compliant, timely closings.

The role requires deep knowledge of closing processes, loan documentation, and risk management. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in banking/real estate financing, strong analytical and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Paralegal training, law degree and/or LPO license (preferred).
• Experience with closing process and commercial real estate loan financing, including complex structures.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end pre and postclosing activities for complex loan structures.
• Provide subjectmatter expertise throughout the closing process.
• Coordinate timelines and ensure all preclosing and postclosing requirements are satisfied before funding and after close.
• Review loan documentation for conformity with credit approvals and policy; negotiate changes.
• Engage external parties including counsel, title and insurance professionals to complete transactions.
• Review third-party reports and collateral documents for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate funding, bookings and settlement; prepare funding notices and closing statements.
• Maintain system knowledge and data integrity; ensure timely document uploads.
• Identify and escalate risks, exceptions and issues impacting client service or compliance.
