Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is hiring a senior clinical medicine domain expert to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team. You will review medical knowledge tasks, write instruction specs, and build benchmarks to assess model reasoning on real clinical work.

You must be a practicing clinician with MD/DO, 4+ years post-residency, and be willing to work on-site in the Bay Area hybrid setting. Relocation at own cost is required if not local.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with residency completed.
• 4+ years post-residency clinical practice.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one US state; board certification.
• Defined clinical domain expertise in a specialty (e.g., internal medicine, oncology, radiology, etc.).
• Clear progression to senior level with ownership of clinical decisions.
• Hands-on use of large language models in professional work.
• Availability for 40 hours per week for an initial engagement of 6 months.
• Bay Area resident or willingness to relocate at own cost; relocation not provided.
• Excellent written communication and ability to give precise, well-structured feedback.

Responsibilities

• Data QA and reviews: Vet clinical knowledge work tasks and model outputs for quality and safety.
• Instruction specs and golden datasets: Write specs and golden solutions for clinical problems.
• Benchmarks and domain depth: Design challenging clinical tasks and evaluation sets.
• Calibration: Align standards with researchers and translate clinical judgment into explicit criteria.
