Senior Clinical Trial Manager (Sr CTM)

You’ve run trials well — now run more of them, and help others do the same. You’ll manage a portfolio of trials or a full region, own vendor strategy end‑to‑end, and become the person other CTMs turn to when something’s stuck.

Position Description

This individual manages clinical regions and/or multiple trials simultaneously, with broad involvement in work central to Nurix’s strategic goals, and plays a key role in developing junior clinical operations staff.

The Opportunity

• Own operational strategy across multiple clinical trials and/or a full geographic region
• Shape protocol strategy and provide senior input on study design and data collection approach
• Lead vendor/CRO selection strategy and own contract negotiation leverage across trials
• Serve as the escalation point for vendor or site issues CTMs can’t resolve on their own
• Own program‑level budget forecasting and proactively flag financial risk across the portfolio
• Mentor and develop CTMs and CTAs, providing hands‑on guidance and informal supervision
• Lead audit readiness strategy and serve as the point person across multiple trials during inspections
• Represent Clinical Operations at the program or franchise level, and represent Nurix externally at professional events
• Anticipate risk across the trial portfolio and shape process or strategy to prevent issues before they surface
• Lead cross‑functional strategic initiatives rather than simply participating in them

What You’ll Bring

• S./B.A. in biological sciences with 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Ability to travel as required for the program (25%)
• Deep working knowledge of FDA, EMA, ICH, and GCP regulations and guidelines
• Proven experience managing global trials or multi‑region programs
• Track record leading vendor/CRO relationships at a strategic, not just operational, level
• Experience mentoring or developing junior CTMs/CTAs
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence without direct authority
• Comfortable operating with minimal oversight and setting direction for others
• Outstanding organizational skills, able to manage a portfolio of trials simultaneously
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, small‑company environment, adjusting priorities as needed

Salary Range: $181,900 – $193.827 annually

The posted range applies to roles based in the San Francisco Bay Area and reflects local market conditions. Where an offer lands within that range depends on the candidate’s relevant experience, technical expertise, and how their background aligns with the role’s requirements.
