Overview

Highmark Inc. seeks a Training Specialist to deliver highly complex clinical and systems training, support workforce development through ongoing workshops, update or create course materials reflecting changes in processes or systems, and manage department training to ensure efficient learning. The role ensures educational programs meet compliance, regulatory, and contractual requirements and contributes to audit review processes and educational interventions related to contractual standards of care, policies, workflows, and system functions.

Essential Responsibilities
  • New Hire Onboarding: coordinate duties, materials, and execution for onboarding, including Human Resources orientation and line-of-business and operating platform training. Track new hires through the initial 3-month period and collaborate with Supervisors and Managers on staff progress and remediation plans. Coordinate training schedules with preceptors and Supervisors; assess and revise the program as business, regulatory, accrediting, or contractual needs evolve.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment and training for current staff, based on program evaluations and identified needs. Manage annual competency programs to maintain best-practice levels of care.
  • Identify audit trends/issues and develop related programs; collaborate with Supervisors and Managers throughout the year.
  • Coordinate with team members to evaluate the impact of policy development on workflows and staff education.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Operating Platform Development affecting clinical and non-clinical workflows, training, and documentation. Participate in system testing and regression testing to identify gaps related to mandated obligations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay

Pay Range Minimum: $57,700.00

Pay Range Maximum: $107,800.00

Base pay is determined by various factors including qualifications, experience, expected contributions, internal equity, and market considerations.
