Job summary

The University of Chicago's Office of Clinical Research seeks a Clinical Research Manager to lead the Research Incubation Unit, overseeing a portfolio of clinical studies from feasibility to close-out, ensuring regulatory compliance, data integrity, and timely reporting.

You will recruit and develop staff, coordinate with investigators and sponsors, manage budgets, and drive standard operating procedures to support growth across the Biological Sciences Division.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• ACRP/SOCRA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical research portfolio across lifecycle for each protocol from feasibility to close-out.
• Coordinate departmental clinical research staff and faculty meetings.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and IRB filings for all projects in the portfolio.
• Develop and enforce documentation standards and standard operating procedures.
• Train and supervise research staff in GCP, 21 CFR 11/312/812 and divisional policies.
• Manage relationships with CROs, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.
• Plan and manage protocol review processes for multiple trials.
