ICONMA is seeking a Clinical Research Manager/Supervisor for a client in Peoria, IL. The role leads the Human Research Protection Program, ensures compliance with federal/state/local regulations, and partners with legal and clinical leaders to advance ethical, high-impact research.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in clinical research/compliance, and CIP/CHRC certification (or within 1 year). Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biological/Life Sciences or related field).
• 5 years of direct experience in clinical research or research compliance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with external IRBs as a relying institution and knowledge of 45 CFR 46, 21 CFR 50/56, HIPAA.
• Experience in monitoring/audits, investigations and corrective action planning.
• CIP or CHRC certification (or within 1 year of hire).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.

Responsabilités

• Overall administrative and education programming for compliance in human subject research.
• Coordinate with external entities while maintaining local oversight of research activities.
• Lead the Human Research Protection Program within a single FWA environment.
• Shape policy, governance, education, and risk-based oversight models for a large health system.
• Provide operational and regulatory leadership for the Human Subject Protection Program.
• Oversee IRB reliance, local oversight, event reporting, and compliance monitoring.
• Partner with Research Administration, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and clinical leaders.
• Lead and mentor a team of research compliance professionals.
• Develop scalable processes, metrics, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Serve as advisor to investigators and leadership on human subjects protections.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
