Job summary

Inova Health System in Fairfax, VA seeks a Sr. Clinical Pharmacist - Bone Marrow Transplant to join our team on a full-time rotating schedule Monday through Friday. The role offers sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

You will provide medication-order verification, clinical consultation, formulary participation, and participate in decentralized rounds while precepting learners and contributing to grant work and education.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
Five years of clinical oncology experience required.
Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Interprets, prepares, and verifies medication orders.
Provides clinical consultation and cost-effective alternatives.
Issues controlled substances in compliance with the DEA and VA Board of Pharmacy.
Participates in formulary review and approval processes.
Monitors drug therapies for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
Reports adverse drug reactions promptly and accurately.
Minimizes non-formulary procurement and supports substitutions.
Participates in decentralized rounding with clinical teams.
Responds to emergent bedside alerts and codes (adult and pediatric).
Precepts learners as appropriate.
Leads grant work and teaching activities for pharmacy students and residents.
