Job summary

Exagen Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California to perform high complexity testing in Flow and Immunochemistry.

The role requires proficiency in lab procedures, data review, and instrument maintenance, working Tue–Sat, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with collaboration across Immunology and QA teams. The candidate must hold a California CLS license or CCS or a relevant degree with at least 3 years of high-complexity laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• California State CLS license or CCS required.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Or have earned an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• At least 3 years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures.
• Review test data, QC, QA, maintenance, proficiency testing, and other operations.
• Operate and maintain Flow Cytometer, NOVAView, TECAN-EVO 100, and other equipment as required.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly calibration of instrumentation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff; assist in audits and compliance.
