Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) for full-time day shift, performing clinical laboratory procedures across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, cytology, histology and transfusion services under supervision.

Requirements include a BS in Medical Technology and current NY CLT license; at least four years in a lab function, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with laboratory technology.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in a functional section of the clinical laboratory.
• Current license from NYS Department of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) required.
• BS in Medical Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory procedures in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, cytology, histology and transfusion services.
• Work under supervision of the laboratory supervisor or manager.
• Maintain established procedures and protocols used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
