Job summary

Memorial Healthcare in Hollywood, FL seeks a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist to supervise daily laboratory operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting of test results.

The role requires FL licensure as a Technologist or Supervisor, a Bachelor’s degree (or an Associate’s with 5+ years of experience), and a minimum of 3 years’ lab experience. You will lead testing, quality control, and act as Charge Technologist to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree required to assess competency.
• Associate's degree with five (5) years or more of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Clinical Lab Technologist License (FL) in the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
• Assesses competency of team members.
• Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.
• Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
• May instruct and observe student technologists.
• Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff.
• Serves as Charge Technologist.
