Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking an experienced AHD Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist for night per diem shifts at Alameda Hospital. You will perform a wide range of laboratory tests, ensure result accuracy, and support patient care across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S./M.A.) or equivalent with related experience; California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids to determine normal/abnormal components.
• Performs quality control, calibration and validation to ensure accuracy of clinical data.
• Performs phlebotomies as needed with due care for patient ID and specimen requirements.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments, ensures supplies and logs are up to date.
• Trains new staff and collaborates with hospital departments to ensure high-quality patient care.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S./M.A.) or equivalent + California CLS license
