Job summary

The role performs routine to advanced laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and timely results. Requires CA CLS license, 5+ years’ experience, and ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• Valid California CLS license required.
• English reading/writing/verbal communication essential.
• Experience with computerized patient care management systems.
• Minimum five years as Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Completion of supervised one-year clinical internship.
• Supervisory capabilities and independent judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of lab organization, safety procedures and information systems.
• Bachelor’s in medical technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures across multiple disciplines.
• Maintain instrumentation, interpret results and document data per procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing and hospital staff to ensure timely patient care.
• Provide training and serve as in-charge when manager is absent.
