Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy seeks a Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst to bridge clinical operations and IT delivery. This role translates clinical workflows into structured requirements, supports system design and data integrity, and mentors junior analysts while collaborating with QA, product, and analytics.

You will drive interoperability and documentation efforts, apply HL7/FHIR standards, and contribute to design reviews to ensure pharmacy operations align with clinical practice and data

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, pharmacy informatics, clinical operations, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated clinical domain knowledge: familiarity with pharmacy operations, clinical workflows, and the technology systems that support them.
  • Proven ability to document clinical requirements with sufficient precision for technology delivery and QA test execution.
  • Experience conducting workflow analysis and translating operational needs into structured technology requirements.
  • Strong written communication skills: able to produce clear, precise documentation for both clinical and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes clinical workflows, operational processes, and business needs to develop structured technology requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria that meet Informatics methodology standards.
  • Conducts current-state and future-state workflow analysis for clinical systems, identifying gaps, risks, and design considerations before work enters delivery.
  • Documents clinical requirements with sufficient precision for QA to execute acceptance criteria directly, in alignment with the Informatics-to-QA handoff standard.
  • Provides clinical informatics input on system configuration, integration design, and data flow decisions, ensuring solutions reflect clinical workflow requirements and applicable data standards.
  • Evaluates interoperability requirements for clinical systems, applying knowledge of NCPDP, HL7, and FHIR standards to ensure integration designs are clinically sound and technically executable.
  • Participates in technical design reviews, contributing clinical perspective on decisions that affect pharmacy operations, patient care workflows, or clinical data integrity.
  • Produces high-quality requirements documentation, workflow diagrams, and business process models that meet the Clinical Informatics track's methodology standards.
  • Maintains and updates clinical system documentation, including integration specifications, configuration guides, and workflow maps, as systems evolve.
  • Contributes to the development and refinement of Clinical Informatics standards, templates, and quality benchmarks in collaboration with the Sr. Manager.
  • Partners with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA to ensure clinical requirements are accurate, complete, and directly usable in delivery and test execution.
  • Serves as a clinical subject matter resource for Data & Analytics, IT Infrastructure, and AI teams on projects with clinical workflow or data implications.
  • Mentors Clinical Informatics Analysts, providing guidance on clinical documentation standards, workflow analysis, and requirements quality.

Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics

Purpose

The Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst applies clinical domain expertise to technology analysis, system design, and requirements development within the Clinical Informatics track. This role bridges clinical operations and IT delivery: translating clinical workflows and business needs into structured, testable requirements, and ensuring that system configurations, integrations, and data flows reflect the realities of clinical practice. The Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst serves as a senior practitioner and informal mentor within the track, providing clinical depth and analytical rigor that elevates the quality of requirements and system design decisions across Informatics workstreams.

Responsibilities
Clinical Analysis & Requirements
  • Analyzes clinical workflows, operational processes, and business needs to develop structured technology requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria that meet Informatics methodology standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Exposure to clinical decision support, medication management systems, or prior authorization workflows.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery practices and acceptance criteria standards sufficient to contribute directly to story-level requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Nursing, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

This position works in a home office and professional office environment. When in-office this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and communications via MS Teams.
