Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Clinical Dietitian to function as an experienced clinician, applying the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and completing nutrition assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and progress evaluations.

The role includes mentoring dietetic interns and collaborating with the interprofessional health care team to provide inpatient and outpatient nutrition care aligned with patient-focused goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Three years clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• RD and LD licensure required with timeline to obtain within specified period.
• Preferred: BLS Certification or Instructor (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients regarding nutritional concerns and recommend nutrition plans.
• Act as resource for nutrition inquiries and provide counseling following ethics and standards.
• Mentor and precept dietetic interns and supervise trainees.
• Assess nutrition status and implement care according to the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team to ensure integrated care and patient safety.
