Job summary

BestSelf Behavioral Health is seeking a Senior Counselor for the Delaware Summer Adult Clinic to provide clinical supervision and oversee counseling services. The role involves supervising counselors, reviewing treatment plans, and coordinating client care with other providers to ensure quality outcomes.

The position requires a Master’s in a human service field, 3+ years of counseling experience, and licensure eligibility within 6 months (LCSW/LMHC).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human service field plus at least 3 years counseling experience in a mental health setting.
• LCSW or LMHC required - OR - ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 2 years of experience working with children and families preferred.
• Knowledge of intervention techniques and cultural diversity awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff and supervise interns as needed.
• Review and sign treatment plans; assign cases to staff based on needs and skills.
• Conduct utilization review of client charts for medical necessity and care.
• Assess clients, develop diagnosis, and formulate treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family and group counseling to support goals.
• Coordinate care with other service providers and maintain confidentiality.
• Meet agency KPIs and complete required trainings.
