The position is full-time, with shifts across 08:00–05:00 and 10:00–19:00 CST, remote in Central/Mountain time zones. Remote work requires secure setup and compliance with telecommuter policy.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years medical terminology experience.
  • 2+ years healthcare experience in a hospital, pharmacy, or physician's office.
  • 1+ year Pharmacy Tech experience with license.
  • Proficient in data entry and Outlook.
  • Experience with direct messaging apps (e.g., Teams, Webex).
  • Able to work Monday–Friday with CST shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient and provider engagement with the care team.
  • Telephonically engage high-risk patients to schedule appointments.
  • Coordinate information flow between care team and provider offices.
  • Schedule PCP appointments and manage patient cases in the workflow system.
  • Maintain patient cases in the workflow management platform for Care Team engagement.
  • Facilitate exchange of clinical information between Care Team and provider offices.
  • Communicate with provider offices to resolve patient issues.
  • Notify Care Team of information collected during patient calls.
  • Develop relationships with provider offices in Practice Extend program.
  • Build rapport with patients through daily outbound/inbound calls.

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator as an addition to the Practice Extend Team. You will work alongside our Interdisciplinary Clinical Team to improve the health outcomes of the patients and providers we serve. The Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for engaging high-risk patients for Comprehensive Medication Reviews with the Clinical Pharmacist, scheduling PCP appointments for patients on their behalf, assisting with administrative tasks, and communicating with provider offices regarding patient medical history and current needs.

This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of three days a week from 08:00AM – 05:00PM and two days from 10:00AM – 07:00PM CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be during normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with a Clinical Care Team to support patient and provider engagement.
  • Engage high-risk patients telephonically to schedule appointments with Clinical Care Team.
  • Utilize multiple technology systems and outreach to provider offices and/or pharmacies as needed to capture pertinent information for patient engagement.
  • Support patients by scheduling PCP appointments on their behalf.
  • Prepare patient cases in workflow management platform for Care Team patient engagement.
  • Facilitate exchange of clinical information between Care Team and provider offices to ensure identified patient concerns and needs are addressed by provider offices.
  • Communicate with provider offices to problem-solve patient issues and/or facilitate communication between practice staff and Care Team.
  • Notify Care Team of relevant information gathered during calls to patient that may affect the patient’s disease state or medication regimen.
  • Develop strong relationships with provider offices participating with Practice Extend program by communicating patient needs.
  • Build rapport and establish trusted relationships with patients via daily outbound and inbound calls.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • 2+ years of Medical / Healthcare experience in a hospital, pharmacy, or physician's office providing clinical or administrative assistance
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Tech (License required)
  • Computer proficiency, to include data entry and utilizing Microsoft Outlook
  • Computer proficiency with direct messaging applications (Microsoft Teams, Webex, etc.)
  • Ability to type and navigate a Windows-based environment simultaneously
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday. Three days a week from 08:00AM – 05:00PM and two days from 10:00AM – 07:00PM CST
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Tech for Insurance Company or Medical Assistant experience
  • Managed Care Experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Reside within Central or Mountain Standard Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20 - $36 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
