Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead the health care team and provide professional nursing care using the nursing process. Must hold a California RN license and BLS; PICC course and recent PICC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in acute care, ambulatory care or home health/palliative/hospice care.
• Must have ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification
• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support
• PICC didactic course and recent (within past 3 years) PICC insertion experience required.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente Policies and Procedures, principles of responsibilities, and applicable laws.
• Leads and directs others through the change process and mentors new staff.
• Delivers comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and plans of care.
• Ensures accurate documentation reflecting the nursing process and interventions.
• Ensures patient safety and effective discharge planning including education to patient/family.
• Adheres to attendance, teamwork, and department performance improvement requirements.
