Responsibilities

• Plan and implement communications strategy for a portfolio of states. Track media coverage and develop long-term and rapid-response plans.
• Develop messaging, written assets, and coordinate media events with state teams.
• Contribute to staff strategy meetings and stay current on climate and conservation developments.
• Build relationships with reporters and influencers; pitch stories and connect spokespeople.
• Train and coach state staff and volunteers in strategic communications and interview prep.
