Job summary

Environment America seeks an experienced Campaign Director to lead our Climate Campaigns, coordinating with the national program team, local organizers and partners to win policies that reduce climate pollution, promote electrification, and cut pollution from power plants and transportation. The director will be the public face of our climate work with decision-makers and media.

Qualifications

• Belief in the power of citizen-based field work and an understanding of the strategies for maximizing the power of field organizing.

Responsibilities

• Represent Environment America and advance our climate strategy at the federal level and with state offices nationwide.
• Oversee coalition building with partners and expand our support base across the political spectrum.
• Develop and drive implementation of campaign strategy and tactics in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Distill complex data into clear, persuasive conclusions for decision-makers and the public.
• Lead fundraising efforts with foundations and individual donors, including cultivation of current and new funders.
• Participate in recruitment and management of interns and staff, and support training programs for staff at all levels.
