Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking an onboarding specialist to lead the onboarding of Columbia Threadneedle Institutional client accounts, coordinating across operations to ensure accuracy and timely setup.

You will apply internal controls, support client transitions, identify process improvements, and mentor staff. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in relevant field.
• Strong oral and written communications.
• Ability to problem solve and investigate to resolution.
• Solid understanding of portfolio accounting/investment operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of client accounts, gathering instructions, assessing impact, and tracking implementation.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure readiness for client-facing events.
• Ensure internal controls, compliance requirements and policies are applied.
• Identify and implement process improvements to create efficiencies and reduce errors.
• Provide coaching and training to staff and maintain relationships with partners.
