Senior Client Intake Specialist (Immigration and Criminal Defense)

Our Houston office is looking to hire an experienced Senior Client Intake Specialist with strong sales experience and a desire to grow within the legal industry. The Intake Specialist will be the point of contact with prospective clients, screen leads, and obtain case details to determine if a case should be retained. The ideal candidate should have a strong Immigration or Criminal Defense background, be business development oriented, and work well with people. Responsibilities include handling a high volume of incoming calls, screening potential clients, and coordinating with attorneys. The role requires some weekend work and the ability to commute to Houston.

Responsibilities:
  • Screen telephone calls before scheduling attorney-client consultations.
  • Monitor all potential new client inquiries via email, internet, phone, and referrals.
  • Immediately contact and establish relationships with potential clients.
  • Update logs and reporting systems reflecting the status of all potential clients.
  • Conduct interviews with potential clients showing empathy and compassion.
  • Schedule appointments and take accurate notes during initial consultations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to complete the initial consultation process.
  • Assist attorneys with administrative tasks related to case openings and database management.
  • Follow instructions from supervising attorneys.
  • Write emails, transcribe notes, research legal documents, fax, copy, and create spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience; customer service experience is a plus.
  • Strong performance-based metrics background.
  • Experience with case management software is a plus.
  • Resourceful, motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work weekends.
  • Experience in Immigration and Criminal Defense is strongly preferred.
