Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is seeking a Senior Clerk Typist at Malcolm X ES for a temporary provisional assignment in San Francisco. You will handle complex typing and office clerical tasks, supporting financial and purchasing records and reporting.

The role may involve supervising a small clerical team and regular communications with staff and the public to ensure smooth office operations and compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of verifiable clerical experience including at least one year at a level comparable to a 1424 Clerk Typist.
• Experience with data entry, preparing and maintaining a wide variety of documents and reports, public contact, checking and reviewing documents for completeness, and performing mathematical computations.
• Knowledge of office operations and regulations; ability to communicate with the public and staff.

Responsibilities

• Travel to SFUSD sites as needed.
• Supervise and review work of subordinate clerical personnel.
• Maintain detailed clerical records and reports.
• Compose routine correspondence for standard office operations.
• Enter accounting and financial statements, contracts, payrolls, and receipts into the appropriate system.
