Job summary

Kaizen seeks a senior engineer to shape AI-native government software used across agencies. You’ll influence design, scope, and ship complex features touching millions of users with a focus on reliability and security.

Lead with technical direction, mentor teammates, and collaborate with federal stakeholders to translate needs into deliverables while maintaining high standards and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with ownership of complex features and systems.
• Hands-on with Palantir Foundry, AIP, or Maven Smart System and able to describe platform capabilities.
• Fluent in React/Next.js and Node.js/TypeScript; strong coding practices and performance awareness.
• AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, Claude integrated into workflow.
• Demonstrated product or system ownership with measurable impact.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a user-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship full-stack features end-to-end from design to production.
• Build and integrate against the Palantir stack and related workflows.
• Lead AI-powered product surfaces like intake flows and dashboards.
• Set technical direction and improve code quality across the team.
• Collaborate with federal stakeholders to translate real-world requirements.
• Ensure platform reliability and performance at government scale.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
