Job summary

American StaffCorp in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Class A Fitter/Welder. You will fit and weld carbon steel and stainless steel assemblies, read blueprints, and follow WPS and specs to produce high-quality welds. The role requires extensive welding experience and the ability to pass rigorous MIG, FCAW, and TIG tests.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of welding experience or equivalent training/experience.
• Advanced welding skills in at least 3 processes: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
• Must pass a 3G plate test in MIG/Flux Core.
• Must pass a 6G all-TIG test on 1/2-inch Schedule 160 pipe.
• Knowledge of API, B31.3, UW-51, UW-52, B1.1, and STS.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fitting experience.
• Ability to pass a written fitter test.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld carbon steel and stainless-steel assemblies.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet post-weld testing requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform layout, setup, fit-up, and joint configuration.
• Use measuring equipment, positioners, and pinwheels.
• Ensure proper alignment and compliance with mismatch tolerances.
