Job summary

Ford Design is seeking an experienced Surface Development Professional to lead Class A surfacing across exterior and interior programs. You will coordinate interfaces, maintain data in Reference Manager and Teamcenter, and ensure design intent is preserved while meeting milestone requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Class A surfacing across exterior and interior
• Proven ability to evaluate design options and recommend solutions
• Strong collaboration with design, engineering and manufacturing teams

Responsibilities

• Leads program surface progression of Design and surface evaluation
• Leads cross-system surface execution for full system compatibility
• Ensures all program interfaces are Designed-in-Context with coordinated data
• Maintains a coordinated Class A surface database (Reference Manager)
• Incorporates technical, attribute and program requirements into surface while preserving design intent
• Drives resolution of surface data issues through reviews and data management
• Maintains program product structure and part history in Teamcenter
• Supports workload distribution and prioritization within Surfacing Team
• Mentors Class A Surface Designers to meet milestones
• Leads surface development during K-Loops and post-K6 phases
