Bowhead Specialty is seeking an experienced Claims Business Analyst in New York to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define and communicate product vision and requirements.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, support design and testing, and manage backlogs while coordinating with Claims and Billing teams. Strong knowledge of P&C and Guidewire INow is preferred. This is an on-site role based in New York.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years' experience in the Property & Casualty industry.
• Knowledge and experience with agile software development practices.
• Experience in working in a non-structured environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Sharepoint, Jira, Confluence and MS Teams.
• Strong knowledge of Claims system. P&C Insurance knowledge (specialty is preferred)
• Experience working with Guidewire INow product
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information (both verbal and written) to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to successfully negotiate with all customers to obtain the most favorable outcome for all.
• Experience identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Ability to prioritize effectively.
• Excellent time management

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into Business requirements.
• Provide product and process knowledge to support design, development, testing and execution of solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and vendors to provide a delivery estimate and gain team commitment.
• Manage the product backlog and prioritize it based on changing requirements.
• Adhere to the project’s timeline and keep the Project Manager apprised of status, issues, and progress.
• Work with business areas and QA team to prepare Test Cases, scheduling and facilitating walkthroughs as needed.
• Obtain final sign off by the business.
• Assist the QA and Business Team during System testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by answering any questions and triaging defects.
• Lead weekly meetings with Claims and Billing teams to gather their needs and reviewing their issues. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
